Being diagnosed with a terminal illness can have a significant impact on the individual and their family. Navigating this process, understanding what your wishes and goals are are an important journey that I want to be able to support you on. How to support you and your family is a goal we will work towards.
Grief and loss is a difficult journey that we should never travel alone. This can involve the loss of a loved one, the loss of a beloved pet, the loss of a job or marriage, and the other events we may struggle with being able to process. Working one on one to process these events and navigate the grief process is my goal with you.
Trauma is a complex process that can effect multiple areas of our personal lives. Working to identify the feelings associated and decrease the impact that they continue to have is the goal. This includes decreasing triggers and emotional responses to said triggers.
This treatment model is focused on processing and challenging negative thought process and to restructure how we are thinking about events, people, and aspects of our life. Utilizing this method we can strengthen how you identify with the world and how to increase positive thought processes.
This form of therapy is an effective way to process behavioral struggles and ways to establish healthy relationships both with others and with yourself. Utilizing this therapy we can work to strengthen connections with those around you and most importantly with yourself.
Those in the LGBTQ+ community face many unique challenges with their relationships, their family interactions, and sexual identity and orientation identification. I work one on one with individuals to help them identify who they feel they are and process complications they have faced associated to their LGBTQ+ identity.
